Women’s Industry Awards : Anne Bianchi (Naval group) Special Jury Prize

Naval Group’s submarine Program Director in Brazil Anne Bianchi receives the « Special Jury Prize » of the 7th edition Women’s Industry Awards presented by the french magazine L’Usine Nouvelle.

Every year the Women’s Industry Awards highlight the amazing and rich career paths of women in the industry. With ten trophies rewarding the company’s various professions, it is today a key event in the world of industry and a great recognition of the role of women in its growth and success.

Yesterday evening, the jury chose to award a special prize to Anne Bianchi, Naval Group’s submarine Program Director in Brazil. Anne began her career with Naval Group in 1996 as Information Systems Manager for the Saudi Sawari II frigates program in Lorient. It flies to Cameroon in 2000 to ensure the deployment of the « Chad Export Program » management system, a project for the development of energy resources in Chad. Three years later, she joined Naval Group and the submarine program for Malaysia as an assistant to the program director. In 2004, she joined the engineering group as project manager « Scorpene platform Malaysia ». In 2009, she was appointed representative of Naval Group in Spain during the testing and acceptance phase of the second submarine for Malaysia. She then takes over the management of a group engineering business unit. In 2012, Anne takes responsibility for the realization of the FREMM multi-mission frigate program for the French Navy.

Since 2016, based in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Anne is director of the Naval Group submarine program for the Brazilian Navy in technology transfer. Anne is also in charge of assisting the Brazilian Navy in the design of the first nuclear powered submarine developed locally. Anne Bianchi, 47, is a former student of the Ecole Polytechnique and ENSTA Paris Tech.

Naval Group supports equality between women and men. The company wants to increase the rate of feminisation of the Group from 20% and is committed to quickly recruit at least 35% of women each year, including female employees in the production functions.
